Prospector U. is a collection of instructional videos that are designed to provide fast and effective training for both novice and experienced users of Prospector.
Let's face it, traditional help in the form of user & reference manuals just isn’t terribly effective anymore. Fact is that no one reads anymore. Who has time to rifle through hundreds of web pages searching for answers. And old-school classroom training? It's just so 20th century! The time, expense and lost productivity is getting harder and harder to justify. Especially true when the quality of training can be so uneven and perhaps unsuitable.
So welcome to Prospector U.
Our mission is to deliver high-quality content that suits the way people expect learn today - anytime, at their own pace on virtually any device. Many of the videos include data sets you can download and practice with in Prospector to make sure you understand how a particular feature or function works. As always, your feedback is important to us. Let us know where we can improve or suggest new content you would be interested in seeing. Before you begin...
Starting with the 2018 version of Prospector, all the projects and sample data files shown in the videos are installed with your software here:
C:\ProgramData\AMT Software\Prospector\Prospector Training
If you wish to practice with these examples to reinforce what you learned, it's easy to switch Prospector into training mode. When you are in training mode, you'll be using the same PowerSource databases and accessing the very same projects that were used to create the videos.
